Karnataka: Boat capsizes in Karwar; eight dead, ten rescued

Karwar lawmaker Rupali Nayak who is also the eyewitness of this incident managed to save two people from drowning.

Karwar: In a tragic incident, a boat with 26 passengers capsized at the Arabian Sea, near Karwar district, Karnataka. The people had gone to visit a temple located on an island. And while returning, the boat overturned. As per eyewitnesses, Karwar MLA Rupali Nayak, who was in another boat, rushed to the spot and rescued two people from drowning. Later, the Indian Coastal Navy was called, and the rescue operation began. The deceased are yet to be identified.
