India shamed as alleged son of policeman caught thrashing woman for turning down marriage proposal

New Delhi: A disgusting video has been surfaced from the capital which shows a man thrashing a woman. According to the police, the accused Rohit Tomar beat up the woman in an office in Uttam Nagar. 

Interestingly, another woman from Tilak Nagar has filed a case of molestation against Tomar. She alleged in her complaint that he is the son of a policeman and also handed over a video to the police that allegedly shows Tomar beating a woman. 

According to the police, Tomar became angry after the woman turned down his marriage proposal and stopped meeting him. The police are verifying claims of the woman that Tomar's father is a cop.

DCP (West) Monika Bhardwaj said, “We have registered an FIR under sections 354 (molestation) and 506 (threatening) of the IPC (Indian Penal Code) after we received a complaint. Further investigations are in progress.” However, since the video was shot in Uttam Nagar, it is likely that the police would file another case in Uttam Nagar police station.

According to sources, the police are yet to get a complaint from the victim. They are trying to contact her.
