Haryana village welcomes 'No toilet, No bride' decision

Villagers of Ghedikan village have taken a decision to marry off their girls only into the house that have toilets.

The people of the Ghedikan village in Dabwali support and appreciate this decision. They were so impressed by Akshay Kumar's film Toilet that the Panchayat of this village took this big decision of marrying their daughters into the house that has a restroom.

The Panchayat has already passed the proposal for this. District Development and Panchayat Officer Pritpal Singh said that they have received the proposal letter from the village.

Cleanliness and toilet in the house have become the priority instead of land or property for a marriage to take place. The people in the panchayat said that this matter is connected with cleanliness, preventing open defecation as well as protecting daughters of the village. The women of the village have expressed happiness over the decision.
