In what can be called as perfect religious harmony, Hindu youths from Haveri, Karnataka, were carrying out a rally for Ganesha Chaturthi. They stopped their bhajans and band music while approaching a local masjid. The first call known as ‘Azaan’ had begun inviting all Muslims for prayer. Realising that this action of bhajans may hurt religious sentiments, youths took the initiative to stop the bhajan. Once the ‘Azaan’ was over, the procession resumed back with music, band, chants and bhajans. This noble gesture by Hindu youths is now being discussed and lauded among local Muslims too.
