Farmers intensify protest against Karnataka government

Belagavi: Farmers gathered in front of the deputy commissioner's office in Belagavi, Karnataka, to stage protest. The stir was led by Bharatiya Krishika Samaj leader Sidsagouda Modagi. They claimed their demands were not fulfilled in the meeting convened by chief minister Kumaraswamy. Six farmers are staging night-long protest for two days. They have been seeking increase in support price of sugarcane.
