Duniya Vijay has been arrested by High Grounds police Station in Bengaluru on charges of kidnap and assault based on complaint filed by his former gym trainer Panipuri Kitty. But Vijay too has filed a complaint against Panipurri Kitty, stating that Kitty and his associates had abused him and assaulted him in front of his 12-year-old son. 

The fight arose in front of the Ambedkar Bhavan, where body building competition was being held. Actor Vijay has also alleged that Kitty's associates assaulted him and his son in front of the police station too and damaged his car. A case under sections 506 and 323 (life threat and assault) has been booked against Kitty and associates.

Currently, Vijay is being questioned at Vyalikaval Police Station since one hour. Duniya Vijay and his two associates Prasad and Mani named in Kitty's complaint are arrested. 

Meanwhile, Duniya Vijay has been booked under sections 365, 342, 325, 506 of the IPC, that also includes fatal assault. The incident is said to have occurred after the bodybuilding competition at Ambedkar Bhavan in Vasanthanagar, Bengaluru. 

The complaint states that Duniya Vijay and his associates attacked Maruthi Gowda, nephew of gym trainer Panipuri Kitty, and forcibly took him in the car around 11.30 PM. 

Following this, Kitty filed a case in the High Grounds Police and then, Maruthi was allegedly threatened by the actor and is said to have forced him to record a video stating that some fans started assaulting him and Duniya Vijay saved him from them while he was going home.
