DU girl stands up for Kerala flood victims

Moved by the plight of the people of a flood-ravaged Kerala, Kerala House launched a WhatsApp group in the night of August 19 to mobilise support and arrange for relief material. A group of students of the University of Delhi hailing from Kerala not only joined it as a mark of solidarity but also actively mobilised resources for the relief of victims. MyNation met with some of these student-volunteers at Kerala House, New Delhi.

Our crew came across these students who recounted the efforts they are making to reach out to the flood victims in their limited yet significant capacities.

The students are seen in this video packaging the material collected. They make it a point not to donate used clothes ― in respect of the victims' self-esteem. All second-hand goods received are being kept aside and rejected.
