"Wherever there is a corruption, it leads to 10 Janpath. In India, 10 Janpath is the permanent address of corruption. Every corruption act leads to the Gandhi family," BJP Spokesperson Sambit Patra said.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has described the Congress Working Committee (CWC) as “corruption wali committee”.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra on Saturday (4 August) said 10 Janpath in Delhi is the “permanent address of corruption”. He was reacting after CWC resolved to take on the NDA government on the issue corruption.
"Wherever there is a corruption, it leads to 10 Janpath. In India, 10 Janpath is the permanent address of corruption. Every corruption act leads to the Gandhi family," Patra said.
Patra targetted 10 Janpath as it is the official residence of UPA chairperson and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.
He also said that Congress is paddling lies and misleading the people by hiding the truth.
Patra said that Congress is spreading lies that the Narendra Modi government is involved in irregularities in fixing the Rafale deal. The Congress party is frustrated and that is why trying to show the ruling party in bad light, he said.
Patra also slammed AICC president Rahul Gandhi.
Speaking about the French President Emmanuel Macron whispering something in Rahul Gandhi's ears, Patra said, "Within hours of this news, the French government exposed Rahul's lies. He was criticised from every corner of the world. It is the first time that another country had to issue a letter with regard to a leader from India. Though there can be nothing more humiliating than this, Rahul still carries on with his lies."
On Rafale deal, he said that Congress did not even speak up about it from 2002 to 2012 and the decision on jets was taken when squadron strength was depleted.
Patra said that BJP president Amit Shah was not allowed to speak in the Parliament in this regard, but the Congress was more interested in deliberating on its CWC (Congress Working Committee). He questioned if CWC was more important than the Parliament.
