TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Naidu's letter reads: 'I sincerely appeal to you to support the no-confidence motion moved by our MPs and shall be thankful for your support in further carrying forward with the motion of no confidence'
Telegu Desam Party Chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has written to all member of parliaments (MPs) asking them to vote for No confidence, come Friday when the matter will be taken up. The two-page letter that MyNation is in possession of reads, “I sincerely appeal to you to support the no-confidence motion moved by our MPs and shall be thankful for your support in further carrying forward with the motion of no confidence”.
Here's the letter:
The No Confidence motion is for centre's denial of granting ‘special category status’ to Andhra Pradesh. TDP is well aware that neither TDP nor the anti-BJP block has the numbers to win the trust vote. But on the contrary, TDP sources say, it is more of optics than a win in itself which is aimed at people of Andhra Pradesh who are growingly tilting towards Jagan's Party, YSP Congress.
Interestingly, TDP has met non-BJP parties including some of BJP allies seeking support to vote for No Confidence in the parliament. The matter is expected to be taken up little after 12 pm tomorrow followed by the Prime Minister's speech and then it will be put to vote.
