Karnataka’s 100-year-old woman and her sister, 96, die on same day

Gadag: Two sisters in Karnataka’s Gadag district, who lived together for nearly 100 years, were united in death too as they passed away on the same day, on Tuesday. Elder sister Kamalavva Kadavinakatti died at the age of 100 in Rona and her 96-year-old sister Parvathavva Kadavinakatti, after hearing the news of Kamalavva’s death, suffered a cardiac arrest and breathed her last. The sisters were married to a pair of brothers from Alur village. The sisters were very close to each other and never had any differences, said the locals. The duo, known as ‘century sisters’, was cremated side by side.
