Downdetector, a website that tracks outages, received a surge in complaints starting around 9:00 AM on August 28th. This isn't the first time X has faced downtime; a similar incident occurred on April 26th at 1:00 PM.

Users Face Issues Since Morning

Media reports indicate that users in India and other countries encountered difficulties viewing and scrolling through posts on X starting around 9:00 AM. Users reported seeing error messages like "Something went wrong" and "Try reloading." The platform has since addressed and resolved the issue.

Most Complaints From These Cities

According to Downdetector, the majority of outage reports originated from cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Nagpur, Cuttack, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai. The outage lasted from approximately 8:24 AM to 9:00 AM. Reports suggest that 70% of users experienced problems with the app, while 27% faced issues accessing the web version. Server connection problems affected 3% of users.
