International Day of Yoga 2024: Practicing yoga daily not only ensures physical being but also helps you achieve mental peace. A healthy wellbeing is achieved by following a healthy lifestyle. Along with practicing yoga regularly, include Satvik diet in your daily routine. Let’s find out how this simple change can benefit you in the long run.

Satvik diet

Satvik meals include vegetarian food. The basic idea of Satvik diet means that you should only consume plant-based food. Your food should not be obtained from harming animals. For a balanced diet, include corn flour, quinoa salad, millet bread, wheat porridge and more.

Liquid diet

If you are on your weight loss journey, follow a liquid diet for one day in week. You can try fruit juice, vegetable puree, lentil water, etc. Consuming one bowl of soup in a day can also be a healthy addition to your diet. For a Satvik meal, avoid adding onions and garlic in your food.

The right time to eat

Eating immediately before and after your yoga session is not a good idea. Always eat your meal at least 2 hours before or after the yoga session. For an instant boost of energy, eat superfoods like banana, apple, oatmeal, smoothies and other fibre rich foods.
