Aditya Srivastava from Lucknow has made history by clinching the top rank in UPSC CSE 2023 exams. He transitioned from his engineering career to civil services to achieve incredible success.
UPSC CSE: Union Public Service Commission announced the results for 2023 exams on Tuesday. Aditya Srivastava from Lucknow made history by clinching the top spot in UPSC CSE 2023 exams. Among lakhs of aspirants, only 1016 candidates achieved success. Animesh Pradhan secured the second rank and Ananya Reddy the third spot.
Who is Aditya Srivastava?
Aditya Srivastava is a resident of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his early education at City Montessori School (CMS) in Aliganj. Then he earned BTech and MTech degrees from the prestigious IIT Kanpur. After completing his studies, he worked for a company in Bengaluru for 15 months before deciding to dedicate himself to civil services preparation. In the year 2017, he embarked on his UPSC journey, and secured the 236th rank in the UPSC 2022 exam. On Tuesday, he received the news of him securing All India Rank 1.
What’s more incredible is that he is just 26 years old. His success is a testament to the fact there are no limits to what one can achieve. If you are someone who feels lost, perhaps making the switch from an engineering career to civil services like Aditya is just what you need.
From IPS to IAS
Prior to this achievement, Aditya Srivastava was undergoing training as an IPS officer in West Bengal. His younger sister is also preparing for the civil services exams in Delhi. His father, Ajay Srivastava, serves as an AAO in the Central Audit Department, and his mother, Abha Srivastava, is a homemaker.
Dedication
Aditya’s tremendous success did not come easy. His rigorous study routine involved dedicating 14 hours daily, from 7 am to 9 pm, to his studies. Despite experiencing several setbacks in his journey, he persevered and ultimately achieved his dream of becoming an IAS officer. His family’s constant support played a key role in his success.
