Aamir Qutub earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in 2011. He worked as a production engineer for a year in Greater Noida. He was dissatisfied with his 9 to 5 office job, and he wished to make his company more digitalized. Motivated to make improvements, he proposed and successfully implemented a digitization project within the company, addressing the issue of lost paperwork. Despite his efforts of making the company advanced, he received no promotion.
Freelance work

A turning point
Things changed for good when an Australian customer recommended Aamir to work in his country. He applied for an MBA at Deakin University, Geelong, and secured admission along with a scholarship. Without relying on his father, he covered the expenses of living by working part-time. His family had already given him the monetary help of Rs 5 lakh, and he did not want to be a financial burden.
Working as a sweeper
Struggling to find a job in Australia, Aamir took up a cleaning job at Geelong Airport, working long shifts from 6 am to 6 pm. His family was saddened to hear about the circumstances. Later, he worked as a newspaper distributor from 3 to 8 in the morning. This allowed him to maintain a better balance with his academic achievements.
A prospering job
Aamir Qutub’s efforts paid off when he secured an internship in an IT firm. His dedication to his work, earned him a promotion within 15 days, and he made a salary of 5000 Australian dollars. Initially, he faced language barriers, however, he overcame the challenges and gained valuable experience. Within two years, at the same company, he progressed to the position of interim General Manager.
A life changing idea
During a train journey, Aamir struck up a random conversation with a stranger who turned out to be an industrialist. The stranger gave him the idea of creating an application that could help companies save money. With 2000 Australian dollars in saving, he founded Entreprise Monkey. Losses were faced in the initial days of the business.
However, it eventually gained momentum, specializing in optimizing business processes through technology. The app automates taxes, saving companies both time and money. The company also offers online branding and marketing solutions. Presently, the company boasts a turnover of Rs 10 crore.
