Neha Byadwal, born in Jaipur, Rajasthan, spent her early years in Chhattisgarh. Her father, Shravan Kumar, holds the position of Senior Officer at Income Tax. Since childhood, Neha was encouraged by her parents to dream big. After completing her studies, she dedicated herself to preparing for competitive exams. Despite clearing the SSC exam multiple times, she chose not to join any job. After failing in UPSC three times, she realized her dream by achieving 569th rank in 2023. Background

Neha’s father’s job required him to relocate frequently. As a result, she completed her schooling across different states, gaining knowledge about various cultures and traditions. When her father was transferred to Madhya Pradesh, she attended Kidzee High School in Bhopal. She also studied at DPS Korba and DPS Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. 

She excelled academically from an early age, becoming a university topper. She pursued her higher education at DB Girls College in Raipur. The experience of meeting people from different backgrounds, inspired her to achieve something meaningful in life. 

UPSC journey

Before cracking UPSC exam, Neha cleared SSC exams multiple times. Driven by her aspiration to join the civil services, she dedicated herself entirely to UPSC preparation. At the age of 19, she returned to Raipur after coaching in Delhi. Her hard work paid off when she secured the 569th rank in her fourth attempt at UPSC. 

Even after experiencing several setbacks, Neha didn’t lose her hopes. She learned from her mistakes and remained focused on her goal without giving up. 

Advice for aspirants

Neha Byadwal shares that every aspirant must have faith in themselves. She believes there’s no substitute for hard work and advises setting daily targets to stay motivated. She suggests being consistent and maintaining a positive outlook, finding joy in every aspect of the journey.
