Enduring challenges

Poverty and unemployment are the most pressing challenges in the state of Bihar. Facing these issues, a young man from Purnia district, Chandan Yadav, decided to do something about his life. He was in search of employment and felt that a job paying Rs 10-12 thousand would suffice. However, when he couldn’t find a job, he began planning to start his own business. 

In the year 2018, Chandan learned about the entrepreneur scheme by the Bihar State Government and secured a loan of Rs 50,000 to launch his startup. He launched products offering besan, sattu, chanachur, namkee, and bhujia. In the early days, he would go from shop to shop to sell his products and establish his presence in the market. 

Business success

Ultimately, his hard work paid off and today his company’s turnover has reached crores of rupees. After about six years of dedicated effort, his startup no longer needs any introduction in the market. Chandan shared that he even took a loan of Rs 20 lakh to promote his brand. This investment boosted his brand recognition and significantly increased its value in the market. 

Chandan Yadav’s company exclusively manufactures food items, maintaining high standards of purity and taste. Currently, his factory employs more than 16 workers. The market for his products has been steadily growing, and over the past six years, his company’s turnover has exceeded Rs 12 crore.
