Seeing the children from his village struggling in the scorching heat as they walked or cycled long distances to school motivated Mantosh to create an e-cycle.
Not everyone has access to extensive formal education, yet many individuals can achieve remarkable success through their skills and hard work. A prime example of this is Mantosh Sharma, a young man from Pasur village in the Charpokhari block of Bihar, who has shown how dedication and perseverance can lead to extraordinary accomplishments.
As a welding mechanic by profession, Mantosh devoted six months to developing an innovative e-cycle powered by a battery similar to those found in e-bikes. His creation has received widespread praise from his community.
The inspiration for this e-cycle arose from observing children in his village enduring the scorching summer heat while walking or cycling long distances to school. Eager to ease their struggles, Mantosh set out on a mission to create an affordable and easy mode of transportation.

Thus, Manotosh spent six months developing this electric cycle, which can reach speeds of 35 kilometres per hour. As per media reports, he invested around Rs 22,000 in sourcing the necessary components and constructing the cycle frame, which includes a motor, battery, horn, indicators, and accelerator. Additionally, he designed a compartment to hold the battery and charger.
The villagers have brought this innovation to the attention of the authorities. Mantosh hopes to make his innovation accessible to the public at an affordable price once he secures the necessary permissions.
