In the realm of India’s most challenging examinations, the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) stands out as a formidable hurdle, with countless aspirants vying for success each year. Among these aspirants, the story of IAS Anudeep Durishetty shines brightly as a beacon of perseverance and achievement.

Anudeep Durishetty’s journey toward becoming an IAS officer is a testament to his relentless dedication and ambition. After completing his graduation from BITS Pilani, Anudeep joined Google as a Software Engineer. Despite the allure of a lucrative career in technology, he harbored a deep-seated desire to serve the nation through the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

His initial foray into the UPSC CSE was met with setbacks. His first attempt in 2012 did not result in success, and although his second attempt in 2013 earned him a position in the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), it fell short of his ultimate goal. Anudeep’s determination did not waver. He continued to pursue his dream with renewed vigor, attempting the exam again in 2014 and 2015, though these efforts also did not yield the desired outcome.

The year 2017 marked a turning point in Anudeep’s journey. On his fifth attempt, he achieved an extraordinary milestone by securing the All India Rank 1 in the UPSC CSE. Remarkably, he accomplished this feat without any formal coaching, scoring an impressive 1,126 out of 2,025 marks—setting a record for the highest marks ever achieved in the exam.

Currently serving as the District Collector of Hyderabad, Anudeep’s success story is a powerful example of perseverance and the crucial role of family support. His parents’ emotional and financial backing was instrumental in helping him focus on his studies and realize his aspirations. Anudeep Durishetty’s remarkable journey underscores the significance of persistence, support, and unwavering resolve in the pursuit of one’s dreams.
