Damoh: The road to success is not always straight and easy, this is the story of Sudhir Garg, a resident of Bansa Tarkheda village in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh. He faced many ups and downs in life, but never gave up. Earlier he used to prepare for UPSC, when he did not get success, today he is giving employment to others by setting up his own business. His story tells that if you fail to achieve one goal, then instead of getting disappointed, you should find new ways.

Preparing for UPSC in Delhi

Sudhir Garg's early education took place in Damoh. Always brilliant in studies, Sudhir later moved to Delhi to prepare for UPSC. He had only one aim, to get selected in the Civil Services. However, despite several attempts, he did not get success. When hopes of succeeding in UPSC were dashed, Sudhir decided to move to Chandigarh. There he started working in a five star hotel. It was a whole new experience for him, but he put his heart and soul into his work. However, this journey also did not last long.

Lost job in Covid-19, free tuition to children in the village

In 2020, when the whole world was battling the Covid-19 pandemic, Sudhir also lost his job. In this difficult time, he decided to return to his village. His grandparents were suffering from cancer and needed care. Sudhir not only took care of them, but also started giving free tuition to the children of the village. During this, he realized that he can do something big even while living in his village.

Started laundry shop by taking a loan of 10 lakh rupees

After struggling with unemployment for a long time, Sudhir applied for self-employment under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana at the Central Bank. Within a few months, he got a loan of Rs 10 lakh. With this loan, he bought a large electronic washing machine and press. After this he started his laundry shop, which has been running successfully for 7 months now. Two people are also employed.

Customers increased with WhatsApp service

Sudhir started his laundry business in a small room. He learned everything himself, from washing clothes in a big washing machine to ironing and packing them. Initially he faced difficulties. But gradually his work started increasing. Modern technologies were also used in the business. Started a WhatsApp service, through which customers can send their location and Sudhir's team collects clothes from their homes. People liked this service very much and this also increased the number of customers.

What is the monthly income?

Today Sudhir is earning around 50 to 60 thousand rupees every month from his laundry business. Out of this, an installment of 20 to 25 thousand rupees goes to the bank. From the remaining amount, he is meeting his household expenses and other needs. This is like a dream come true for him, as he has achieved this position after so many difficulties.
