New Delhi. Saket Dandotia, a resident of Shivpuri district in Madhya Pradesh, had dreams of studying at IIT. However, when he failed to crack JEE exam after class 12, he did not lose hopes of achieving his dreams. He struggled financially and provided comics on rent to make the ends meet. Saket pursued engineering in Indore and began working, but eventually chose to quit his job to start his own business. Starting with just six employees, his company now has offices in several countries and a net worth of Rs 600 crore. 

Background

Saket Dandotia, hailing from a small town, faced numerous challenges along his journey. He pursued an engineering degree from MITS Indore and secured a job at a software firm. Despite working diligently throughout the year, he felt unfulfilled and decided to leave his position to start his own venture. In 2012, he established Linkites.

Startup dreams

Saket began his company with just six employees, but within three years, the workforce expanded significantly to 150. His business, based in Indore IT Park, has thrived and now boasts a large 12,000-square-foot office. He has also opened offices in the USA, Japan, and Singapore.

Achieving success

According to reports, Saket Dandotia worked for a year at an IT company in Indore, serving clients in Europe, Canada, the USA, and Japan. He then pursued an MBA at IIM Indore and launched the startup VideoVerse (later rebranded as Toch.ai) in 2016, raising $48 million. The company now supports numerous sports businesses and OTT platforms. After exiting the startup in 2023, he raised significant funds and started a new venture, Onetab. His estimated net worth stands at around Rs 600 crore.
