Sana Khan's achievements, driven by education and hard work, serve as an inspiration to every young person. After earning a BTech degree in Biotechnology, few could have predicted that her venture into vermicomposting would lead her to become a successful businesswoman.

Business ventures

Sana Khan began her career in 2014 with just 30 vermicompost beds. She became acquainted with vermicomposting during her studies, as it was the focus of her project work. After completing her education, Sana decided to transform this knowledge into a business. She founded her company, SJ Organic, which now supplies organic fertilizers across India. Today, her company operates with 250 vermicompost beds and has an annual turnover in crores. Through her success, she has created employment opportunities for over 100 people.

Enduring challenges

In the early days, Sana Khan faced ridicule from others. People would often question why she pursued a BTech if she was going to handle manure. However, Sana remained undeterred, ignoring the naysayers and staying focused on her work. She also had the full support of her family. Her husband, Syed Akram Raza, plays a crucial role in managing the company's marketing and supports her at every step of her journey.

Business success

Sana Khan's company, which began in Rali Chauhan village in Meerut, is now expanding its operations to set up vermicompost beds in 12 states. She has also established a lab that meets government standards, where the quality of the fertilizer is tested before being distributed across the country. Sana is determined to further expand her business, with the goal of not only promoting organic farming but also creating more employment opportunities for people.
