IIT-JEE is considered one of the most difficult exams in the country. Students often enrol in top coaching centres, seek guidance from experienced teachers to succeed. However, even with these resources, success is not guaranteed. Abhijit Roy from Bengal, despite lacking such support and facing financial hardships passed the JEE exam with flying colours. He achieved an incredible 191st rank and secured admission in IIT Kharagpur.

Abhijit's success

Former MP Dilip Ghosh shared the inspiring story of young Abhijit Roy from Malda, West Bengal, on social media. Abhijit’s father, who comes from a poor family, is missing and his mother is mentally unwell. The burden of supporting the family falls on his elderly grandfather, who makes a living by driving an e-rickshaw. The family resides in a small, cramped house with very little space for daily living.

Despite all the challenges, Abhijit’s determination remained unbroken. He continued to move forward, crossing all the obstacles in his life. Without access to expensive coaching classes or standard study materials, he cracked the JEE exam solely with the help of resources available to him.
