Humble Beginnings
Born on December 26, 1973, in Haryana, Dr. Divyakirti grew up in a middle-class family deeply rooted in academia. His parents, both educators, instilled in him a strong passion for learning. With two older brothers—one a software engineer in the US and the other a DIG at the CBI—Vikas was inspired to excel in his studies from an early age.

Academic Pursuits
Dr. Divyakirti’s academic journey began at Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Bhiwani, progressing to undergraduate studies at Zakir Husain Delhi College, where he earned a BA in Hindi. He furthered his education with postgraduate degrees in Hindi and English, ultimately obtaining his PhD. His teaching career commenced at Delhi University, where he shaped the minds of aspiring students.

A Commitment to Education
In 1996, after diligent preparation, Dr. Divyakirti achieved an All-India Rank of 384 in the UPSC exams. Following a brief stint in the Ministry of Home Affairs, he founded Drishti IAS in 1999, aligning his career with his passion for education.
