In the heart of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a young man named Yash Dayal Sharma is making waves. Inspired by the words of Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, Yash's journey from dreams of the armed forces to a passion for agriculture is remarkable.

Growing up with Dr. Kalam's books, Yash initially aimed for a career in the military. But when that didn't happen, he turned to agriculture, a field close to his family's roots. With determination and an organic farming certification, Yash took on the challenge of soil health.

Discovering a harsh reality, Yash found that nearly 29 percent of India's farmland is degraded, posing a serious threat to food production. Returning to Saharanpur in 2020, he dove into addressing soil degradation with a focus on organic farming.

Engaging with farmers and experts, Yash stumbled upon a simple yet powerful solution – the earthworm. Realizing its ability to turn organic waste into nutrient-rich vermicompost, he founded Fertile Beeghas in June 2021.

Over the years, Fertile Beeghas has transformed thousands of tons of organic waste into vermicompost, revitalizing degraded soils. Yash's impact extends beyond production; he has trained over 2,500 farmers in sustainable farming practices.

Yash's commitment to societal well-being is evident in his founding of 'Free School Under The Mowgli Tree.' Despite challenges like the COVID-19 lockdown, his resolve to make a difference remains strong.

Driven by Dr. Kalam's vision, Yash sees agriculture as key to progress. Leveraging his family's farming background and a deep connection with nature, he strives to revolutionize the agricultural sector.

Fertile Beeghas stands out for its meticulous approach to vermicompost production. Viewing soil as a living entity, Yash and his team invest heavily in research and development, resulting in high-quality vermicompost enriched with organic carbon and crop-specific microbes.

Collaborating with farmers and agricultural officers, Yash's impact reaches far and wide. Farmers like Kuldeep, once troubled by chemical fertilizers, now thrive with vermicompost enriching their lands.

In Yash Dayal Sharma's story, inspiration fuels action, and dedication brings about tangible change. As he continues to sow the seeds of transformation, Yash exemplifies the power of one individual to make a lasting impact on agriculture and society.
