He produces various earthenware utensils, including kulhads, pots, kettles, and pans, which are in high demand in the market. Since launching the business a year ago, he has received a positive response, leading to an increase in his workforce to 20 to 25 people.

Daily production 

According to reports, the pottery industry in Haria village produces around 9,000 to 10,000 earthenware utensils daily. These items are sold in Azamgarh and surrounding areas, with strong demand extending to neighbouring districts. People particularly enjoy food prepared in earthenware, and the demand peaks during the winter season, especially for earthen cups among tea shopkeepers, whose orders quadruple at this time. Restaurants also seek these traditional utensils, further driving their popularity.

1 to 2 lakh utensils are sold in a month

According to the report, 1 to 2 lakh earthenware utensils are sold every month from the pottery industry set up in Haria village of Azamgarh. In the summer season, there is more demand for pitchers and kettles for cold water, while in the winter season, there is more demand for earthen cups, pans and woks. The average monthly income is one lakh. This business has also received government assistance in the form of 35 percent subsidy.
