Sahil Jain, a Chartered Accountant based in Delhi, and his mother, Meena, have accomplished something extraordinary. They founded a healthy snack brand called 'Mighty Millets,' which has grown into a multi-million rupee enterprise. Their products are now gaining traction in prestigious hotels such as the Taj and JW Marriott. Let's read about the inspiring journey of this mother-son duo.

Corporate world to entrepreneurship

Sahil Jain previously worked for a large firm in Mumbai and found the corporate lifestyle increasingly unmanageable. Feeling that he couldn't thrive in that demanding environment for much longer, he made the bold decision to quit his job and explore new opportunities. With the support of his mother, he embarked on a journey to create something fresh and exciting together.

Inspiration from mother to start a business

Sahil drew inspiration to start a business from his mother, Meena Jain, an experienced nutritionist skilled in creating nutritious and delicious dishes. Together, they launched a healthy snack brand focused on preservative-free, nutrient-rich products. In 2018, they founded 'Mighty Millets,' initially offering laddoo bars, vegetable chips, and millet-based snacks made from bajra, jowar, ragi, and other grains. Their unique recipes and high-quality products quickly gained popularity.

Healthy products

'Mighty Millets' started its journey with just a handful of products but has since significantly expanded its offerings. Today, the brand boasts over 50 healthy products, including nutrition bars, granola, millet cookies, pasta, noodles, pancake mix, and vegetable chips. This growth reflects their commitment to providing a diverse range of nutritious snacks for health-conscious consumers.

Achieving success

Sahil and Meena began their business journey in their home kitchen. As demand for their products grew, they established a dedicated factory and now collaborate with three contract manufacturers for production. In a market saturated with preservative-laden snacks, 'Mighty Millets' stands out by offering preservative-free products made from natural ingredients, ensuring safety and health benefits for consumers. Since its launch in 2018, the startup has achieved impressive success, generating an annual revenue of Rs 50 lakh.
