Who is Dr Keerthana G Krishna?

Dr Keerthana G Krishna is a resident of Pune, Maharashtra. Her father was a drunkard and abusive towards her mother. The entire family went through incredible emotional pain when her father died by suicide when Keerthana was 8 years old. Being so young, she could not never understand why her father had to take such a drastic step. 

Molestation at home

Keerthana Krishna was only 7 years old, when her own brother started molesting her. She was forced not to utter a word about the heinous crime to anyone. When Keerthana grew a little older, she understood what was wrong with the way her brother treated her, and gathering some courage she told her mother about the whole thing. Keerthana’s mother supported her and threw her brother out of the house. 

A dream of becoming a doctor

Since childhood Keerthana had dreamed of becoming a doctor. At 22, she got married with her boyfriend who started forcing her into motherhood. A few months later, Keerthana was devastated when she learned the news that her husband was cheating on her. 

Mother’s support

Dr Keerthana’s mother raised her as a single mother. She was the only person who helped her persevere through all the difficult phases of her life. Today, Keerthana is a junior doctor at ESIC Medial College, Chennai. She did not have a pleasant and carefree childhood like most children, but she looks forward in her life with dreams of making her future better. Her mother’s heart swells with pride and joy when she sees Keerthana in her medical uniforms.
