Nine-year-old Atiqa Mir from Kashmir has achieved a significant milestone by winning the Rotax Challenge International Trophy at the Le Mans Kart International Circuit. She is one of the youngest female motorsport drivers globally. While many children her age are playing with toys, Atiqa has outperformed older competitors.

Atiqa Mir, from the Nishat area of Srinagar, has become a notable figure in young female karting. Her father, Asif Nazir Mir, who was India's first national karting champion in 2000, has been her mentor. Atiqa made India proud by competing as a professional in the International Karting Championship at just 6 years old.

Major Achievements of Atiqa Mir:

•    Won the FIA International Karting Championship at age 6.
•    Became the first Indian female driver to set a lap record in Dubai.
•    Secured second place in the International Karting Championship.
•    Was the first Indian female driver to compete professionally in an international karting championship.
•    Holds a UAE driving license.

Atiqa Mir achieved victory at the Rotax Challenge International Trophy held at the Le Mans Circuit, where she competed against 318 drivers from 40 countries. She won the trophy while racing a Lando Norris kart for the Dan Holland Racing (DHR) team. In the Micromax category, Atiqa was among a total of 36 drivers.

Atiqa Mir, the only Asian girl to participate in this event, expressed her happiness to the media about her first victory in Europe, attributing her success to her family's support. She will also be competing in the prestigious Kartmasters Championship in the UK next month.
