A 12-year-old girl from Bengaluru, Kyna Khare, has made history by becoming the world’s youngest female master scuba diver. Mesmerized by the ocean, she started scuba diving at the young age of 10. She accomplished this remarkable feat in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Love for scuba diving
In an interview to ANI, Kyna Khare shared her experience of scuba diving. She finds the underwater experience relaxing and soothing. She received training from instructors from over 12 countries including Thailand, Indonesia, Maldives, UAE and India.
Kyna obtained her first Open Water Scuba Diving certification in Bali, Indonesia, followed by Advanced Open Water Certification in Thailand. She recently achieved her official Master Diver certification in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Achievements
Kyna Khare had a curiosity about the ocean and marine life. Through immense dedication and hard work, she earned her diving certifications. She finds scuba diving enjoyable.
She has received training and certifications in various other specialty courses including underwater photography, specialized nitrox diving with precise buoyancy control and more.
Kyna's dreams
Kyna is passionate about marine conservation and actively participates in environmental initiatives. She is even considering a career in marine science, which is her favourite subject. Her dream is to work towards improving the earth’s aquatic ecosystem for the betterment of future generations.
