Bengaluru: The word Corona is nothing less than a headache. Its very mention has been giving sleepless nights to all of us for a very long time. 

It has killed several people, creates unimaginable havoc, snatched away jobs and economies, among others. 

But here is a story that will surprise you. There is a medical company by the same name. 

In the ongoing pandemic, a medical company with the same name, has had a windfall of several crores. 

Nirav Mehta, founder, says, “Although the word Corona has become negative due to the epidemic, but this name has proved to be a blessing for us. We have a plant near Ahmedabad. During the internal discussion of the company, we had a discussion about what to do now. Instead of Corona, we wanted to write 'Corona Remedies'. But I said that there is no need to change the name,” as quoted by Dainik Bhaskar. 

Well, it is interesting to note that the name has been given to a few newborns as well. 
Last year, twins in Raipur in Chhattisgarh were christened Corona and Covid. The twins, a boy & a girl, were born on the intervening night of March 26-27 amid the nationwide lockdown.

When asked the parents about the unique name, they said the names will remind the twins about the hardships that they conquered during their birth

When the hospital staff also started calling the babies as Corona and Covid, the parents finally decided to name them after the pandemic
The parents had said that they might change their names afterwards.

As the world comes to terms with the losses, India started the largest vaccination drive on January 17. The vaccination will be administered in phases, depending on various factors like age, comorbidity among others.
