May is celebrated as Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month. An event was held at the Rose Garden at the White House, where several Asian Americans, including President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, were in attendance.

The White House Marine band played an Indian patriotic song, 'Sare Jahan Se Achha', during the event as a gesture of respect and to reflect strong relations between the two nations. The song was also played earlier in 2023 when India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the USA.

This glorious song was written by Mohammed Iqbal and radiates India's rich legacy and unity during the fight for independence. The attendees at the event were touched by the performance, and the song was played twice by the band at the request of the Indian-Americans in the audience.

The video of the event was posted on X (formerly Twitter) by Ajay Jain Bhutoria, a key figure in the Indian-American community. The caption read, "Thrilled to hear Saare Jahan Se accha Hindustan Hamara played at WHite House AANHPI heritage celebration hosted by President @JoeBidenwith VP Harris @VP. The event also had an array of popular Indian food items to celebrate the vibrancy and diversity of the nation. Ajay Jain expressed his gratitude towards President Biden and wrote, "Great to see Indians Americans being celebrated at White House today as part of AANHPI a heritage month .such a pride feeling ,The marine band was playing Saare Jahan se accha Hindustan Hamara song …&serving Golgappa .US India Relationship.Thank you so much @POTUS."
