New Delhi: Vistara Airlines is facing severe flak from citizens across the country, after posting a picture with Army Major General (retd) GD Bakshi and subsequently deleting it.
Dear @airvistara, you post such a wonderful photo with Army veteran GD Bakshi, and then go on to insult India’s forces by deleting it at the behest of intolerant sods.

You don’t deserve the nation’s patronage. Please don’t fly Vistara until it restores that post. #BoycottVistara pic.twitter.com/ingqsBUOBj
Immediately after a picture of Vistara staff members with Major Gen G D Bakshi captioned “a decorated Kargil war hero. Thank you, Sir, for your service to the nation” surfaced on social media, several people called out the airline and posted some controversial remarks of General Bakshi.
Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, BJP spokesperson for Delhi, took to Twitter immediately condemning Vistara’s actions of deleting a tweet quoting they wanted to avoid being “disrespectful or hurtful to anyone”. He expressed his disappointment with Vistara and said that the tweet had been deleted due to Anti Army Gang pressure. He further added that he would not fly Vistara until they post the picture again and apologise.
