The victim, named Mukesh, operates a mobile shop named 'Vardhman Telecom'. Mukesh shared that the attackers confronted him while he played bhajans in his shop, objecting to the religious music during their Azan time. This led to a brutal assault where Mukesh was dragged out of his shop and severely beaten, resulting in injuries and trauma.
 
Recounting the harrowing experience, Mukesh described the aggression he faced, saying, "While in the shop, I was singing bhajans during evening worship. At that moment, he came to the shop and questioned, 'Why are you singing during our Azan time?' This led to an attack where he took the speaker and hit me on the head, causing significant pain."
 
The incident has sparked condemnation from various quarters, with calls for swift action against the perpetrators. Karnataka MP Shobha Karandalaje expressed dismay over the attack, urging immediate intervention for justice and to prevent future acts of violence by sharing the video on social media platform X.
 
However, the path to justice faced hurdles as Mukesh encountered resistance while attempting to report the incident to the police, who hesitated to file an FIR. Only after significant pressure did the authorities initiate an investigation.
 
Local traders have demanded the attackers' swift arrest, gathering at the Halasuru Gate Police Station to seek justice for Mukesh and ensure community safety. The police have implemented increased security measures in response.
