The International Syro-Malabar Mothers' forum in Kerala said that the state and Central governments had not taken effective measures to prevent 'love jihad' incidents
Thiruvananthapuram: The International Syro-Malabar Mothers' forum has said that the police are not seriously probing cases forced conversion through 'love jihad' in Kerala and all over India. The forum on Monday (September 23) said that forced conversion incidents are not isolated cases in Kozhikode and Delhi.
The forum added that the state and Central governments had not taken effective measures to prevent such incidents, which are causing nightmares to parents who have sent their children away for higher studies.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Intelligence Bureau have all reported that such cases are occurring in the state and the country, the forum said.
The Mothers’ Forum has formed a protective army of its own with members from all dioceses to counter such nefarious activities. It demanded that all legal mechanisms be utilised for effective probe in the case so that another girl does not have to go through such experiences, the forum said.
