Bengaluru: Bomb blasts on Easter Sunday in the island nation of Sri Lanka killed more than 250 people. While the investigations continue, it is suspected that the bombers may have entered the garden city of Bengaluru. The Bengaluru police have received inputs in this regard and have sounded a high alert across the city.
T Suneel kumar, Bengaluru police commissioner, even held a meeting with prominent citizens to take stock of the situation.
Speaking to NEWS9, a regional English news channel, T Suneel Kumar said, “In the light of Sri Lanka attacks and in order to create awareness in the city, we held a meeting with the heads of all religions institutions and asked them to take precautionary measures.”
Over hundred chiefs and security in-charge of hotels, malls and IT companies also participated in the meeting. The police commissioner has asked his subordinates to increase security at areas like Shivajinagar. He has also asked the security heads to install CCTV cameras.
