Today, the Master Plan of the Gandhi Ashram Memorial was launched, and the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, commenced Kochrab Ashram and paid a visit to Sabarmati Ashram.. In addition to visiting Hriday Kunj, the prime minister offered flowers to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.
Additionally, he planted a tree and strolled through the display.

The Prime Minister has consistently worked to preserve and honor the principles that Mahatma Gandhi advocated for, as well as to provide platforms that highlight these principles and bring him closer to the general public.

The ashram's current five acres will be increased to 55 acres as per this master plan. 36 existing structures will be restored; 20 of these, including Gandhi's home at "Hriday Kunj," will be preserved, 13 will be restored, and three will be replicated, according to the statement.

The master plan calls for the construction of additional buildings to house public utilities, administration facilities, and visitor amenities like an orientation center and interactive workshops on charkha spinning, handmade paper, cotton weaving, and leatherworking. Gandhiji's life and the Ashram's legacy will be highlighted through interactive presentations and activities housed in the buildings. 

The Prime Minister addressed the event and said that the Sabarmati Ashram has always been an energetic center of incomparable vitality and that we can feel Bapu's inspiration within us. He continued, "Rashtra seva, truthfulness and nonviolence, and the belief that God serves those in need are all ideals that Bapu instilled in the Sabarmati Ashram.

Before moving to Sabarmati, Gandhi Ji resided in the Kochrab Ashram, as the Prime Minister recalled. Today, the nation received a dedication from the redeveloped Kocharab Ashram. 

By promoting Gandhian ideas and bringing Gandhian values to life, the memorial will inspire future generations. This will be achieved through a process guided by trusteeship principles.
