This election season and the aftermath in Bengal has been dotted by incidents of violence where both the BJP and the TMC have pointed fingers at each other for the murder of their cadre.
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party has claimed that another BJP cadre was killed in Bengal. The victim, the BJP says, has allegedly been killed in Basirhat, where recently violent clashes broke out that ended up in multiple deaths.
The deceased has been identified as Saraswati Das. The exact time of death and the nature of the injury has not been made clear.
The BJP Bengal has tweeted in the aftermath of the incident and has tweeted that TMC goons have shot dead Saraswati Das. The tweet goes on to shame the law and order situation in Bengal and the Mamata Banerjee government for allowing this violence to continue.

Despite home minister Amit Shah seeking a report on the violence in the state, it has not gone down.
BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya following the death of four BJP cadre in Sandeshkhali had said, "Union Home Minister has asked for a report from the state government, and I am sure Centre will take this up seriously. There is a lot of anger among the people over the incident".
