During this period of coronavirus shock, MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar has been sending the finance minister inputs and suggestions and from him & from citizens/business who reached out to him and people who he engages with.
He has engaged with women entrepreneurs and MSMEs on the issue of Rebooting Economy – where he explains the significant measures that FM and the government have taken to support businesses in the recently announced Rs 20 lakh crore package.
The objective on the MP’s part was to communicate measures as initiated by the GOI and to hear their views, concerns and suggestions.
A few weeks ago, Prime Minister announced a Rs 20 lakh crore package that would help revive a sagging Indian economy.
However, it was the finance minister who gave it shape as she outlined and broke it down in her press conferences.
The package stresses on Atmanirbhar Bharat or self-reliant India.
But there were accusations that the package pointed out towards protectionism but Rajeev tweeted saying AtmaNirbar Bharat was more of empowering India by creating a global competitive India that produces for the world in itself.
In his tweet, he said, "The #AtmaNirbharBharat vision of @narendramodi is not abt protectionism. Instead its abt creating a globally competitive India that produces for the world n itself. Its a vibrant, energetic idea that mobilizes our best. #NewIndia @PMOIndia."
