The Centre issued new guidelines for phased re-opening of areas outside the coronavirus containment zones easing lockdown rules
New Delhi: A day before the fourth phase of nationwide lockdown ends, the ministry of home affairs on Saturday said it will be in place in containment zones till June 30 and said all economic activities can restart in a phased manner outside those zones.
The Centre issued new guidelines for phased re-opening of areas outside the coronavirus containment zones easing lockdown rules.
The ministry of home affairs (MHA) released the order today, the new guidelines will come into effect from June 1 and will be effective till June 30, 2020.
According to reports, some of the new guidelines are:
Night curfew has been relaxed, movement will now be prohibited from 9pm to 5am across the country.
From June 8, places of worship, malls, restaurants and hotels will be allowed to reopen.
With more than 8,000 fresh cases reported in 24 hours, India’s tally rose to 1,73,763. The death toll stood at 4,971.
The fourth phase of the nationwide lockdown, necessitated by the coronavirus outbreak, was scheduled to end tomorrow.
