A Facebook post of a Kerala youth who made predictions of the election results on April 4 went viral on social media. The youth predicted that the UDF will win 19 out of the 20 seats and stated that the Alappuzha candidate of the UDF will lose in the constituency
Kochi: A prediction made by a man from Kerala on the Lok Sabha election result in the state has come true. Kozhikode native Muhammed Ali PK, who made the prediction, had put up a post on Facebook on April 4, where he shared details of the predicted outcomes of the Kerala Lok Sabha election.
He stated that the UDF would win 19 seats out of the 20 in Kerala. He then predicted that Shanimol Usman, the Alappuzha candidate of the UDF would lose the election. Ali also gave permission to people to take screenshots of his post.
All the 20 Parliamentary constituencies in Kerala went to polls in the third round of the seven-phased Lok Sabha election on April 23. On counting day, political drama unfolded in several constituencies as UDF stood ahead in the race.
The UDF won in 19 out of 20 Lok Sabha constituencies in Kerala. AM Arif of the LDF won in Alappuzha. The exit polls had foretold that the UDF will bag more than half the seats in the state. However, Ali’s prediction was more accurate.
On May 23, after the election result was announced, Muhammad himself was shocked and posted, "If I knew that my prediction on Kerala Lok Sabha election would come true, (I) could have made Rahul Gandhi the PM. The prediction that turned big!"
This goes to show that even though one can predict the future, fate will come to pass.
