Bengaluru: Vijayanagara MLA from the Congress in Karnataka, Anand Singh, is all set to met Governor Vajubhai Vala and submitted his resignation letter from the post of legislator. Following contradictory statements from Speaker Ramesh Kumar and other Congress leaders, now, Anand Singh has made his decision clear.

The MLA has clarified that the news of his resignation is true. "Yes I have resigned this morning," said Anand Singh. He requested the media persons to gather at Governor's house and further said that he would answer all queries after meeting the Governor.

The news broke in the morning that Anand Singh had resigned from his post as MLA and had submitted his resignation to Speaker Ramesh Kumar. But reacting to the same, Ramesh Kumar had said that he had not received and letter from anyone.

Even minorities welfare minister Zameer Ahmed Khan had said that there is no clarity on Anand Singh's resignation.

Reacting to the same, chief minister HD Kumaraswamy, sitting in the US, has tweeted stating that this is BJP's effort to destabilise the Karnataka government, while claiming that this is just "a day dream".

"The seers are  conducting foundation laying ceremony for Kalabhairaveshwara Temple at New Jersy in the US. I am keenly watching the happenings in the state from here. BJP's efforts to destabilise government is just a day dream,"  Kumaraswamy  tweeted.
