Bill Gates recently visited the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. He was mesmerised by the statue and called it an "incredible engineering feat". He also visited a garden nearby and had a traditional Gujarati meal at a cafeteria run by tribal women.
On March 1, Bill Gates, Co-Founder of Microsoft, visited the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. Gates was amazed by the stunning statue and called it an "incredible engineering feat". The Statue of Unity is the tallest in the world, standing 182 metres tall. The previous record was held by the Spring Temple Buddha in Henan province, China. He expressed admiration and respect for the statue and wrote, "An incredible engineering feat! Very Beautiful! A great tribute to Sardar Patel. Thanks for your hospitality!" in the visitor's diary.
Statue of Unity CEO Udit Agrawal and State Protocol Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma, along with many officials, welcomed Gates. During his visit, he was informed about the process of construction, material, and technology used to create the Statue of Unity. Many people online were in awe to see Bill touring the area, appreciating the locality, and paying respect to the Statue.
Bill viewed the statue from the viewing gallery, which is located at a height of 135 metres. He also enjoyed some peaceful walks in the area and interacted with the locals. Bill seemed to have a great time as he visited a nearby garden and had a traditional Gujarati thali prepared by the tribal women at a cafeteria.
Bill Gates in his latest tour to India, participated in various cultural events, interacted with many locals, and attended the Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant Pre-Wedding event in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Bill also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many other government officials and discussed the development and implementation of more advanced technology for the betterment of the population. He also appreciated the Prime Minister for all the work done by the government, especially for the tribal women of the society.
