The largest Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana in the nation is launched in the Naharkatia area of Dibrugarh by the chief minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma.
CM Himanta Biswa Sarma stated on X on Wednesday that "Today's #VikasYatra has delivered over Rs1,600 crore of funding for development across Assam." These include a state-of-the-art convention center in Lakhimpur, a new solar-powered housing colony under the PM Awas Yojana in Naharkatiya, and ambulances for our tea gardens.
The Chief Minister delivered the inaugural address and laid the foundation stone for projects worth a total of ₹154 crore for Bajali district. CM Sarma, during his speech on the occasion, expressed confidence that the projects that were either launched or whose foundation stones were laid have great potential to fulfill the dreams and ambitions of the people living in Bajali district.
