New Delhi. On Friday, President Droupadi Murmu presented the prestigious honour Kirti Chakra to 10 brave soldiers. 26 Shaurya Chakras were also conferred during the ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Out of these, 7 Kirti Chakras and 7 Shaurya Chakras were conferred posthumously. These honours are given to soldiers and officers of the Army, Central Armed Police Forces and state/UT police for their exceptional bravery and dedication to duty. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi were also present at the event.
