New Delhi: A sudden dip in temperature has come as a much-needed respite to Delhiites from the scorching heat prevailing in the capital for the past two weeks.
Mercury fell by a few notches in the national capital on Sunday.
The relative humidity was also recorded at a low of 39 per cent in the morning making weather even more pleasant.
The Safdarjung observatory, recording of which is considered the official figure for the city, recorded a minimum of 19.8 degrees Celsius, five notches below the normal.
The MeT Department has forecast strong surface winds later in the day.

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 39 degrees Celsius.
On Saturday, the maximum and minimum temperatures had settled at 39.2 and 22.4 degrees Celsius respectively.
