Bengaluru: The Congress, which often expresses its concerns over the independence of the judiciary, was caught trolling former Delhi high court judge Sunil Gaur.

Just to jog your memory, Gaur was the one who refused to grant anticipatory bail to former Union finance minister P Chidambaram in the INX media case.

The criticism by the Congress comes in the wake of Gaur being made the chairman of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) tribunal in less than a week of his retirement.

These are only a few cases. Interestingly, in the National Herald case in which the mother-son duo of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are involved, they had filed a plea in the Delhi high court in October 2015, seeking that the case be remanded back to Gaur when it was listed before Judge PS Teji went back to Gaur.
