New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation, probing the Saradha chit fund scam, will file an additional charge sheet against West Bengal’s former officer and Mamata’s close aide Rajeev Kumar for the destruction of evidence in the Saradha case.
According to sources, the CBI which was reportedly trying to get custodial interrogation of Rajeev Kumar, will name him in the supplementary charge sheet soon to be filed. The charge sheet may be filed against Kumar without arresting him.
Rajeev Kumar was summoned five times in the last 26 months. He appeared in front of the investigating officer after a legal battle, but CBI officials claim that he did not co-operate with the agency and did not reply to the questions he was asked.
