Throughout the day, incidents of violence have been pouring in from across the state. Crude bombs were hurled in Rabindra Sarani area of Kolkata, whereas the car of BJP candidate Anupam Hazra was smashed in Jadavpur.
Kolkata: In a strong allegation against the ruling Trinamool, the BJP candidate from south Kolkata Chandra Kumar Bose has likened Trinamool cadre to "jihadi" and "terrorists".
The BJP candidate while speaking to ANI said, "Last night, I was getting calls from my workers from different booths that they have been threatened by Trinamool’s 'jihadi' brigade that if you sit as booth agents for BJP, you'll be murdered. There's no difference between a terrorist organisation and Trinamool"

Meanwhile, BJP has said it will move the Election Commission to complain against Trinamool for the raging violence that marred even the last phase of the Lok Sabha election. This, in spite, of central forces being deputed in all polling booths.

The camp office of the BJP was also ransacked in Basirhat's Bhyabla area. Last night, the BJP candidate from Dum Dum constituency Samik Bhattacharya faced protest after which at least two cars were burnt down.
