Tirong Aboh, his son, security personnel and party workers were shot dead by suspected militants of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland near Bogapani in Tirap district on Tuesday.
New Delhi: The dead bodies of sitting National People’s Party MLA Tirong Aboh and 10 others including his son were taken to Khonsa in Tirap district.
Aboh, his son, security personnel and party workers were shot dead by suspected militants of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland near Bogapani in Tirap district on Tuesday.
Aboh’s son Lassong Aboh, party general secretary Wangngoi Hakhun were among the people killed in the ambush allegedly led by the NSCN.

Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of State for Home, in a tweet said, “I’m shocked and saddened by the brutal attac. Strongest possible action will be taken against those responsible.”

President of NPP and Meghalaya chief minister, Conrad Sangma, also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh to take action against the perpetrators.
