Based on his astrologer Dwarkanath’s advice, Karnataka chief minister Kumaraswamy has asked temples falling under the Muzrai department to hold special pujas to propitiate the rain god. However, such a move has only invited criticisms from the BJP, which feels it is nothing but a red herring to cover up failed loan waiver promises
Bengaluru: While states like Odisha are reeling under the consequences of Cyclone Fani, cities like Bengaluru are reeling under the consequences of the massive summer heat. Everyone is praying for rain to help plummet temperatures and help citizens lead a comfortable life.
Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy too is no exception. But what makes one wonder and raise one’s eyebrows is the advisory given by him.
Temples falling under the Muzrai department have been asked by the chief minister to hold special worship so that the monsoon will set in, as claimed by NEWS9, an English news channel in Bengaluru.
But what prods the chief minister to take up such an initiative?
Well, it’s not a secret that the Deve Gowda family firmly believes in astrology. They keep consulting astrologers for every problem they face. And famous astrologer Dwarkanath happens to be one of the most sought-after astrologers for the family. It is based on his advice that Kumaraswamy has given instructions to the temples.
